Going outside of your comfort zone is never easy, and it usually isn’t pretty, but the sense of accomplishment you get from doing something you never thought you could is absolutely priceless. Next time you’re feeling lazy, have a look at this picture and ask yourself, “What’s my excuse?”
You are 100% capable of this journey and you have all the tools for success within you.
But you need to stay positive.
It’s always about the next rep.
Whether you just completed the most perfect rep of your life or just failed miserably, its about the rep you are preparing for.
Its about the rep that stands in front of you, testing you to see how strong you are.
Testing you to see if you will keep your confidence, keep your cool, and keep your mental attitude.
The moment you let it slip that rep will celebrate your weakness, like a dog on the hunt, it will smell your fear.
It will make the barbell slip from your hands.
It will keep your chin from rising to the bar.
It will prevent you from finishing your WOD.
Each rep is an obstacle, an obstacle that wants you to fail - or at least to suffer.
But each rep is also the doorway to strength, to speed, to success, to your dreams and your goals.
Each rep is a step forward.
But only if you complete it.
Only if you delete the phrase “I can’t”, or “I won’t”, or “I don’t want to” that is running through your head.
Each rep is a step forward only if you stay positive and crush it.
I can’t help but reblog. He’s just pure perfection.
